Unit Purpose
 
In this unit of competency you will develop the skills and knowledge required to identify and access support services and related policies and procedures in a diverse post-secondary study environment.    
  
Reporting of assessment outcomes
 
Your result will be recorded and reported to you as Competent or Not yet
Competent.
 
 
 
Requirements to successfully complete this unit of competency
 
To achieve this unit of competency you must be able to complete a spoken and/or written task in which you identify student support services, policies and procedures of relevance to diversity, and associated individual and group rights and responsibilities in the immediate post-secondary study environment.
 
Your teacher will explain to you how this evidence of your skills and knowledge will be collected.
 
Your teacher will also give you details about

·           the tasks/activities you have to do 
·           what you have to show as evidence 
 
Your teacher may use this evidence to assess your skills and knowledge of other units of competency as well.
 
 
Assessment methods can be chosen from the following
 
 
 
·           Small group discussion

·           Portfolio
·           Group project
 
Assessment methods should closely reflect the needs of particular groups (e.g. people with disabilities, and people who may have literacy or numeracy difficulties, remote communities and those with interrupted schooling).
